Features and Applications of Polyaspartic Polyurea (PAE Polyurea) Resin


Polyaspartic elastomers, a novel type of slow-reacting, high-performance, non-yellowing, environmentally friendly aliphatic coating material, have emerged in the polyurea industry. Known as the third generation of polyurea, Feiyang's polyaspartic resin is a solvent-free, transparent liquid, modified with aliphatic secondary diamines (terminal amino group polyether), referred to as PAE polyurea resin. It can react alone with NCO-containing triisocyanates (either aromatic or aliphatic) or blend with hydroxyl-containing polyester, acrylate resins, and then react with NCO isocyanates to form SPUA polyurethane elastomer coatings.


Product Features

  1. Low viscosity and high solid content; eco-friendly, non-toxic, solvent-free, environmentally benign, pollution-free, suitable for producing high solid, low viscosity eco-coatings.
  2. High reactive activity; reaction with NCO triisocyanates has a gel time of 15 to 120 minutes, fast curing speed, flexible application methods (spray or brush), high efficiency, controllable film thickness, applicable on any surface (curved, inclined, vertical) without sagging, resulting in a smooth, even film.
  3. Unaffected by environmental temperature and humidity, can dry in extreme cold temperatures, and cure on ice surfaces.
  4. Excellent physicochemical properties; high tensile and impact strength, flexibility, wear resistance, moisture and slip resistance, waterproof, aging resistance, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance.
  5. Good thermal stability; long-term usability at 120°C, withstands short-term thermal shocks up to 350°C.
  6. Excellent workability and adhesion; suitable for drying on various substrates like plastics, steel, wood, concrete, etc.
  7. Used in SPUA elastomer coatings as a chain extender and main resin, compatible with hydroxyl-containing polyester resins, acrylic resins, CAB cellulose acetates, etc.
